In the heart of Porto’s city center, EDITORIA has emerged as a new cultural space, dedicated to embracing complexity and diversity. Located at Rua Sá da Bandeira n.º 196, the initiative, conceived by Ana Carvalho, Alejandra Jaña, José Roseira, and Paulo Mendes, offers a rich program focused on visual arts, design, music, and cinema, enriched by engaging conversations, music, and food. EDITORIA also aims to foster the curation and edition of ideas, works, and debates, encouraging discussions and presenting them in various forms.
The space inaugurated on March 17 with the TURBULÊNCIA program, curated by Paulo Mendes, featuring Rita GT’s installation, ‘Dumping- The Artwork in the Era of the Digital Economy,’ open until May 15. This exhibition explores her ongoing research into ceramic production and its cultural and social contexts, showcasing new pieces that connect to her previous works, such as ‘Museu Duty Free’ (2019), and the history of abandoned ceramic factories like the Meadela Factory.
