Portuguese artist Rita GT and Angolan artist Keyezua were among the creators featured on the ‘Dialogues’ platform at the 2018 London Art Fair, held in London from January 17 to 21. This year, the ‘Dialogues’ section uniquely showcased only female artists, focusing on issues of gender and cultural identity.

Part of the 30th edition of the fair, the program was curated by Turkish artist, writer, and academic Misal Adnan Yildi. It brought together five pairs of galleries featuring artists from Europe, Maori, Kurdish, Asian, and African backgrounds. Representing Portugal, Rita GT collaborated with Angolan artist Keyezua in London on ‘Sisterhood is Forever,’ an installation aimed at increasing the artistic visibility of women from both countries, reflecting themes of colonialism, female empowerment, and intercontinental dialogue.
